D'usse VSOP Cognac is produced at Chateau de Cognac, the historic estate on the Charente River in southwestern France. It is a blend of Ugni Blanc eaux-de-vie drawn from four crus, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois, aged a minimum of four and a half years in French oak. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), it shows official notes of dried fig, almond and cinnamon on the nose, a silky palate of stone fruit, caramel, toasted almond and warm baking spice, and a long finish with cocoa, honey and a subtle cayenne kick.
