Lagavulin 16 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV. A southern Islay classic, it carries the region's signature peat-smoke alongside richness and a dry character. The nose offers deep peat smoke, sea salt and iodine layered with sherry sweetness and roasted malt; the palate is bold and full-bodied with smoky notes, dried fruit, dark chocolate and a touch of brine; and the finish is exceptionally long, warm and smoky. Time in oak softens the peat into depth rather than aggression. A benchmark peated single malt, available for delivery across Washington DC to customers 21 and over.
