Lagavulin 8 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48% ABV. Originally released to mark the distillery's 200th anniversary, this younger expression is big and smoky with a light gold colour. The nose offers milk chocolate and lemon developing into fragrant tea-scented smoke, with sweet spice, caramel, tar and brine; the palate is sweet and smoky with char, mint and dark chocolate; and the finish is clean, very long and smoky.
