Laphroaig Sherry Oak Cask is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48% ABV. This expression finishes Laphroaig's classic peated spirit in Oloroso sherry casks, layering the distillery's intense smoke with a sweeter, sherried edge. The nose shows smoked meats, maple syrup, charred oak and a touch of coffee; the palate balances sherried sweetness against smouldering peat, with dark chocolate, honey and vanilla; and dried fruit and warming sherry notes round it out. A richer, sweeter take on the famous Islay smoke, available for delivery across Washington DC to customers 21 and over.
