Don Julio 1942 is an ultra-premium anejo tequila made from mature Blue Weber agave at the brand's distillery in the highlands of Jalisco. It is aged a minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels previously used for bourbon, longer than the anejo category requires. Official tasting notes describe caramel, cooked agave, vanilla and toasted oak on the nose; a lush palate of cooked agave, toasty oak, silky vanilla and a hint of dark chocolate; and a long, warming finish.
