Don Julio 1942 is an ultra-premium anejo tequila crafted from mature Blue Weber agave at the brand's distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. It is aged a minimum of two and a half years in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels, exceeding the anejo standard. Official tasting notes describe aromas of caramel, cooked agave, vanilla and toasted oak; a lush, layered palate of cooked agave, toasty oak, silky vanilla and a hint of dark chocolate; and a long, warming finish. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). The full 750ml bottle is a centerpiece pour for celebration and gifting.
